A girl from Fall River was involved in a hit-and-run while under the influence of drugs Friday, according to the Dartmouth Police Department.
Around 9:30 p.m. Friday, a 2016 Toyota Avalon was hit from behind by a 2011 Hyundai Elantra on State Road. Police said the driver of the Toyota Avalon followed the other driver until they hit a tree on Matty Lane.
Police said the driver was a girl from Fall River who was driving a stolen car. The car had been reported as stolen on Oct. 7. Officials did not release the age or name of the girl.
She had a minor injury to her face from the crash and was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford. Afterwards she was released to her mother.

She was charged with leaving the scene of a crash with property damage, receiving a stolen motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating under the influence of drugs, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
