Democrat Dennis Gallagher and Republican Sandra Wright are competing to replace longtime Republican State Representative Angelo D’Emilia for the 8th Plymouth District state representative seat. The district covers Raynham and Bridgewater.
Gallagher lives in Bridgewater and is director of the Braintree Retirement System. He served on the Bridgewater Board of Selectmen from 2003-2009 and the Bridgewater Town Council from 2015 to 2024, leaving the position to run for state representative, according to his campaign website.
