A person was seriously hurt after their car left the road and struck a utility pole and a tree on Thursday, the Norton Police Department announced.
At around 1:36 a.m., police and firefighters were sent to the area of 95 North Washington St. after receiving a report of a crash, police said in a statement.
The crash left the driver with serious injuries and significantly damaged the car, police said. The driver was then taken to Rhode Island Hospital.
