WESTFIELD – The frozen body of city man, who has yet to be identified, was found near the fence of Westfield-Barnes Regional Airport along Interstate 90 Tuesday afternoon, according to law enforcement officials.
The man’s body was found by a state employee at about 12:30 p.m. along the south side of the airport’s fence roughly 200 yards from I-90, according to an entry in the daily log of the Westfield Police Department.
One official said it is believed the man was involved in a crash in the eastbound lane and left his vehicle and walked across I-90 westbound toward the airport.
