A 45-year-old man was convicted of voluntary manslaughter Thursday for fatally stabbing another man in Roxbury in January 2022, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office announced.
Raymond Castro, of Dorchester, was also convicted of an assault and battery with a dangerous weapon for the non-fatal stabbing of another man during the same incident. He will be sentenced on Dec. 5, the district attorney’s office said in a statement.
On Jan. 26, 2022, Castro was removed from the home of a relative on Rockville Park in Roxbury after a dispute with family. The dispute escalated into a physical altercation between Castro and his cousin.
