SPRINGFIELD — Less than 24 hours after first responders took a woman wounded by gunfire to the hospital Tuesday, Springfield police said they arrested a man connected with the incident.
Springfield Police — working with the Hampden County Sheriff’s Department, the State Police violent fugitive apprehension section and the U.S. Marshals fugitive task force — arrested Luis Colon, 37, around noon near the intersection of Main and Frank B. Murray streets, according to a press release issued by the Springfield Police Department.
Tuesday’s shooting occurred at an apartment building sitting along the 100 Block of Stafford Street, police said, and the woman, whose injuries were non-life threatening — was taken to Baystate Medical Center.
