A 35-year-old man is facing two counts of larceny after Massachusetts State Police say he stole $13,000 in casino chips from Encore Boston Harbor on Tuesday night.
Security at the casino, which is just over the Boston city line in Everett, alerted the State Police Gaming Enforcement Unit around 6 p.m. on Tuesday that a patron stole a “large quantity of chips” from a table game and fled the property. Responding officers spoke to witnesses who said they saw the man getting up from the table he was sitting at several times to use his phone, Tim McGuirk, a spokesman for State Police, said in a statement.
