Boston winters can be pretty unbearable. But one waterfront hotel restaurant is trying to make people’s outdoor experiences a little more tasteful.
Matria — a northern Italian steakhouse at the InterContinental Hotel — offers make-your-own s’mores kits available until the end of winter.
Guests are invited to sit at a table on Matria’s patio that overlooks the Fort Point Channel and Seaport neighborhood while they toast marshmallows over an open flame for their own s’mores.
The $40 s’mores box is intended for a group of four. The box comes with skewers, several premium chocolate bars and an assortment of sweet crackers and waffles. Chocolate options include 75% dark chocolate, milk chocolate and a tiramisu chocolate bar while graham crackers, chocolate waffle crackers, coffee waffle crackers, caramel waffle crackers and vanilla Belgian waffles are also available.
In addition to this new winter offering, Matria also recently started serving brunch on weekends. The restaurant’s brunch menu features dishes such as steak and eggs, citrus waffles and caponata focaccia. Brunch is available from 12-2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Matria will also validate parking for anyone who drives to brunch.
