Lose something at TSA? It might end up in this auction

One man’s lost TSA items is another man’s treasure.

AirPods, knives, sunglasses and various self defense items are all for auction on GovDeals, which sells items from TSA across the U.S.

One item labeled “7 lbs. of Assorted Self Defense Items” is for sale for $29 as of Tuesday. It is being sold from The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is listed as previously being TSA property.

A pair of Ray Ban sunglasses with case went unclaimed from TSA in California. They’re not listed for $38.

And seven sets of Apple AirPods are available for $110 as of Tuesday. But it does warn buyers that they haven’t been cleaned.

While many of the sunglasses are labeled under “lost and abandoned property,” many of the other items were “confiscated” or “forfeited.”

For those unsure about what items they’re allowed to bring on a plane, the X account @askTSA allows passengers to quickly ask TSA any questions they have about what you can and cannot bring.
