Longmeadow Parks & Recreation Fall Programming

Longmeadow – The Longmeadow Parks & Recreation presents their fall programming:

Musical Notes for Infants & Toddlers: with Jon O’Neill. Featuring singing and dancing in this fun filled program for parents and children. This program takes place on Tuesday mornings at the Greenwood Center, beginning Nov. 28. Fee is $79 for one child, 4110 for two children. Nonresidents just $10 more. Register at www.lprd.net.

Family Dance: Create a precious memory. During this fun filled class, parents and children will dance, shake, twirl, and spin to create a dynamic routine that will be performed in their annual recital. No experience necessary. The program takes place on selected Saturdays, Dec. 9 – April 13. More information and registration on www.lprd.net.

Food Explorers Holiday Desserts, Grades 2-5: join food explorers for some delicious holiday desserts. Each week you’ll make your own dessert and explore new foods and flavors. Participants will be making: Mini Gingerbread Cheesecakes, Hot Chocolate Croissant Bites, Cinnamon Sugar Skewers, and Chocolate Peppermint Energy bites. All recipes are not free. Thursdays at 4:30 p.m. from Nov. 30 through Dec. 21 at the Longmeadow Community House. Fee is $95 per person. Registration deadline is Nov. 22. More information and registration on www.lprd.net.

Dec. School Vacation Programs: Chess Wizards. Art-ventures, Mad Science and Food Explorers programs provide elementary school aged children with enrichment during one or several days of this school break. More information and registration on www.lprd.net.

Springfield Thunderbirds Discount Tickets: Now available at the Parks & Recreation Main Office on 231 Maple Road (The Greenwood Center). Vouchers are redeemable for yellow tier “Center Value” seats for any home Thunderbirds Hockey game at the MassMutual Center. Cost is $25 per voucher and may only be purchased in person.
