Longmeadow Unified Basketball began its inaugural season of play this past fall, bringing the Lancer community closer than ever before.
“(This season) exceeded all of my high expectations,” said Megan McCoy. “Your heart grew two sizes every time you watched, it was fabulous. One of our Unified athletes was getting kind of over-stimulated (earlier this season) and I took him out for a walk during the game. I (asked) ‘how are you feeling’, and I expected him to say (something like) I’m tired. And he said, ‘I’m feeling proud’.”
