Martin Necas, Carolina’s Czech center who has had rumored interest from the Bruins as well as several other teams in the NHL could be moved quickly.
According to the Daily Faceoff’s Frank Seravelli, Necas could be traded soon.
“I wouldn’t be shocked to see Marty Necas dealt before the start of Game 1 of the Cup finals on Saturday,” Seravelli said on his podcast.

Necas, 25, is a restricted free agent in position to make a great deal of money and the Hurricanes might not want to pay it based on salary cap issues.
Necas just finished helping lead the Czechs to a World Championship in Prague. He centered a line with David Pastrnak and Pavel Zacha and appeared to have considerable chemistry.
The 6-foot-2, 189-pound forward has played largely wing for Carolina. He had 24 goals and 29 assists in 2023-24 after putting up 28 goals and 43 assists in 2022-23.
The challenge for the Bruins would be putting together a competitive offer for Necas. Boston has limited draft capital and prospects available. The Hurricanes might be interested in Linus Ullmark, but he alone probably isn’t enough to swing the deal.
Vancouver, Calgary and Columbus are all rumored to be interested in trading for Necas.
