Lawsuit by former Springfield mayoral aide advances in court

SPRINGFIELD — A lawsuit filed by formal mayoral aide Darryl Moss alleging racial discrimination will advance after a Hampden Superior Court judge largely denied the city’s motion to dismiss the case.

Moss, Mayor Domenic Sarno’s onetime director of constituent services, filed a $1.5 million complaint against his former boss and the city over his firing in 2020 based on social media posts.
