Lavender ice cream, lemonade and more — this Mass. farm has it all

While Massachusetts may be known for its apples, peaches and cranberries, the Bay State is also a hidden haven for all things lavender.

From lavender ice cream and lavender lemonade to lavender honey beer and fresh bundles of flowers, The Farm at SummitWynds in Holden has a variety of lavender treats and drinks for lavender lovers.

For two weekends in June, The Farm at SummitWynds will showcase its lavender goods, kicking off its annual Lavender Farm Fest.

According to its official Facebook page, the 2024 Lavender Farm Fest will be held over two weekends, Friday, June 21, to Sunday, June 23, and Friday, June 28, to Sunday, June 30.

Friday, June 21, is an adult-only event. No one younger than 18 will be allowed entrance to the farm.

The event description encourages guests to “enjoy a relaxing and tranquil experience in the lavender fields, overlooking the pastures and spectacular view of Mount Wachusett.” Attendees can also take photos in the sunflower fields.
