A Massachusetts State Lottery player claimed a $100,000 ticket in the lottery’s “Mass Cash” game, the largest prize available in the game.
The winning ticket was sold at Rusty Lantern Market in Bellingham, according to the lottery.
“Mass Cash” costs just $1 to play and drawings are held each day at 9 p.m. Players pick five numbers and win a prize if three of those numbers match any of the five “winning numbers.” The $100,000 top prize is won by matching all five numbers.
The winning numbers on Thursday were 7,11,19,23 and 33.
Overall, at least 527 prizes worth $600 or more were won or claimed in Massachusetts on Thursday, including 10 in Springfield, 22 in Worcester and 45 in Boston.
The Massachusetts State Lottery releases a full list of winning tickets every day. The list only includes winning tickets worth more than $600.
So far, the largest lottery prize won in Massachusetts this year was worth $1 million a year for life.
The prize was from the lottery’s “Lifetime Millions” scratch ticket game. The winner claimed their prize through a trust on July 10, and opted to receive a one-time payment of $15.4 million.
