While Western Massachusetts has seen the end of its major fairs for the season, October is ushering in a number of fall festivals from apple to pumpkin, and all kinds of harvest celebrations inbetween.
Among the many events before winter sets in is the seventh annual PumpkinFest, organized by Westfield on Weekends, to be held on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the athletic fields behind Amelia Park off South Broad Street.
