Investigators ask for help after 17-year-old shot and killed in Mass.

A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed in Lawrence late Saturday night and investigators are asking for the public’s help in locating anyone with information about the incident, Essex County District Attorney Paul Tucker’s office said.

Lawrence police went to the area of Brook Street around 9:47 p.m. on Saturday. When they arrived, they found the 17-year-old, whose name was not immediately released, with gunshot wounds, Tucker’s office said in a statement. The teen was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Lawrence General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Lawrence police and the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to Tucker’s office are investigating the shooting. Tucker and Lawrence Police Chief Melix Bonilla asked “anyone that may have information pertaining to this incident” to come forward.
