WESTFIELD — A search committee has been looking for a new principal for the Westfield Virtual School since the former school head, Thomas Osborn, resigned at the end of August to take another position.
Westfield Superintendent Stefan Czaporowski, who has been serving as the interim leader of the school alongside Curriculum Director Susan Dargie and Director of Assessment and Accountability Christine Shea, said he is hopeful to have a new person in place soon.
“We probably have 10 applicants for the position — a mix of internal and external candidates that we’re going to be interviewing next week,” he said, adding that the search committee headed by Shea will decide which candidates to interview.
