How you can dine at Boston’s Michelin-approved spots for fraction of cost

Dine Out Boston could be the best time for local diners to try Michelin-approved eateries for a fraction of the original price.

The winter edition of the restaurant week will run from Sunday, Feb. 22 to Saturday, March 7.

The two-week culinary celebration features roughly 200 participating restaurants offering full-course meals at a discounted price.

Participating restaurants will offer prix fixe menus for lunch and dinner at one of three price points: lunch at $27, $32 or $36 and dinner at $38, $46 or $55. Restaurants can offer as many courses as they want at their chosen price.

Dine Out Boston’s winter iteration will feature two restaurants that were recognized by Boston’s inaugural Michelin Guide. They are Bar Volpe in South Boston and Sumiao Hunan Kitchen in Cambridge.

James Beard Award-winning chef Karen Akunowicz oversees Bar Volpe, located at 170 W Broadway which earned a Bib Gourmand from the Michelin Guide. The Italian hot spot, which typically serves main dishes for $31-$60, will offer a three-course dinner menu for $46 in honor of Dine Out Boston.

Menu options include chopped salad with soppressata, black truffle roasted chicken and tiramisu. Bar Volpe’s dinner hours are 5 to 10 p.m. daily.

Sumiao Hunan Kitchen, located at 270 Third St., also earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand distinction for its dedication to highlighting traditional Hunan cuisine. The authentic Chinese eatery will offer lunch and dinner options for Dine Out Boston at $32 and $46, respectively, rather than its regularly priced dinner plates, which cost $20 to $42.

The lunch menu consists of three courses, while the dinner menu comes with four. The menus will be available for takeout and delivery in addition to in-person dining. Lunch hours are 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, and dinner service is 3 to 10 p.m. on those same days.

Another noteworthy restaurant participating in Dine Out Boston is The Block at Woods Hill, whose sister restaurant Woods Hill Pier 4 earned a Michelin recommendation.

The waterfront restaurant in Seaport, which opened in June 2025, will offer a $55 three-course dinner menu available for in-person dining, takeout and delivery. Menu options include the Toasted Seared Foie Gras, 36-Hour Grilled Beef Shortrib and Brownie as Tiramisu Sundae.

There are also multiple top-rated dining destinations involved in Dine Out Boston that have earned a 2025 Travelers’ Choice status on TripAdvisor. They are Tresca, Row 34 in Kenmore Square, Grill 23 & Bar, 75 Chestnut, Bricco, Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse (specifically the Logan Airport location), Legal Seafoods Harborside and Longwood Grille and Bar.
