Here’s where you can eat dinner while watching a show on your table in Boston

Catching dinner and a show in Boston will get a whole new meaning once the city unveils its first-ever immersive 3D-animated dining experience at W Boston.

Starting Wednesday, Feb. 7, guests can enjoy a curated three-course dinner paired with a show, created by TableMation Studios, that is projected onto diners’ tables by projectors suspended from the ceiling.

As the meal begins, the table comes to life with animated ingredients and characters, including Chef Nya and Ned who go on a journey around the world.

“It’s fun and whimsical, pairing perfectly with W Boston’s incredible cuisine to create a unique, Instagrammable night out for guests,” TableMation Studios President and CEO Michael Bickel said in a press release. “It’s an honor to bring our new 3D culinary experience to W Boston.”

The 90-minute dinner show took TableMation Studio’s team of artists — who have worked on programs such as “The Simpsons,” “King of Queens,” and “Young Sheldon” — more than 50,000 hours to create.

The menu was designed to coincide with the show’s storyline, drawing inspiration from ingredients in each course.

The three-course menu, prepared by Executive Chef Garrison Cossu, includes crispy ahi tuna to start, seared filet mignon and homemade braised beef Sachetti for a main course and a sabayon for dessert.

There is also a kids’ menu that features fried mac and cheese, fried chicken thighs and vanilla ice cream.

For alcoholic beverages, diners do the wine pairing (for an additional fee) or order their own cocktails. The kitchen can also accommodate any dietary restrictions and allergens with 48 hours’ notice.

“We are thrilled to be able to be the first destination in the region to offer this visionary concept in partnership with TableMation Studios,” W Boston General Manager Gurki Singh said in the press release. “The show is designed for a wide demo, and guests of all ages are invited to indulge in this new dining experience that transcends the ordinary, embodying our commitment to innovation and unparalleled excellence.”
