Here’s where you can do yoga while gazing over Boston’s skyline

There is one place in Boston where you can take your morning yoga class to new heights.

View Boston, an observatory atop the Prudential Tower, offers yoga classes where you can do downward dog and tree pose, among others, while looking out at the Boston city skyline.

Vito Politano, who taught the class MassLive attended Wednesday, said teaching at View Boston has brought a changing landscape of people and weather since it started at the end of November.

“The views are amazing,” Politano said. “Even as the city comes to life, I think it’s kind of nice to be here in the morning to get that perspective.”

The hour-long class is held every Wednesday morning at 8:30, and is taught by a Lululemon ambassador like Politano. Given the stratus setting, Politano said the class can help people expand their awareness and feel more open-minded.

“Its a beautiful space,” he added. “I want people to work and I want them to make them really engage with what they’re doing so maybe they start their day a little more connected.”

Yoga mats are provided, but people can bring their own. You are also welcome to walk around the 360-degree observatory after the class ends.

Politano said he’s had some returners, and even had up to 40 people in one class, which is the maximum.

“It’s always a new group of people,” he said. “I wasn’t expecting that.”

More information, including how to get tickets, can be found online. If you’re looking for something a bit more intense, View Boston also offers a 45-minute workout class on Saturday, Jan. 27. Tickets can be found here.
