Here are the 11 nonprofits getting help from the Hampden DA’s Drug Forfeiture Program

SPRINGFIELD – Leaders in Springfield’s nonprofit sector came together Wednesday to cheer each other on and receive grants from the Hampden County District Attorney’s Office.

Through its Drug Forfeiture Program, the office was able to award $80,000 to 11 local nonprofit organizations that focus on uplifting and supporting youth in Hampden County. The office accrues this money throughout the year by proving in court that money forfeited after arrest was made from illegal drug activities.
