A heat advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 2:14 a.m. valid from 11 a.m. until Thursday 7 p.m. for Northern Worcester and Southern Worcester as well as Franklin, Middlesex, Essex, Hampshire, Hampden, Norfolk, Suffolk, Bristol and Plymouth counties.
The weather service says, “Heat index values up to 100 degrees expected.”
“Heat and humidity may cause heat illness if precautions are not taken,” says the weather service.
