Former Saturday Night Live star reveals terminal cancer battle

Former “Saturday Night Live” actress Victoria Jackson announced she is battling terminal cancer in a video shared on her Instagram, Aug. 15.

Jackson captioned the video, “Cancer Update: I have 34.8 months to live if I don’t get hit by a meteor, shot by a MAGA hater, get Covid again or WWIII breaks out.”

The 65-year-old started the video by announcing “Episode 11 of ‘Is the cancer back?’, Starring me, unfortunately.”

Jackson shared that doctors cannot operate and cut out the “marble” in her chest that is lying on her windpipe and will eventually suffocate her to death.

“They are going to bring me a magic pill,” Jackson said. “It’s going to be delivered to my front door within the next 12 hours.”

The medication Jackson is starting contains ribociclib, which should “shrink the marble,” she said.

After doing her own research, Jackson said she found people prescribed this medication typically have only a couple of years left to live.

“I’ve had a fantastic life,” she continued.

Jackson said a few nights ago, while she was lying in bed, she thought she heard God say “ready to come home?”

“And I said ‘well, I’d like to see my grandson born, his name is Jimmie … and get to know him a little and I’d like to see my daughter, Aubrey, have a baby.’”

She added that “a lot of people are suffering,” and “that’s why comedy is good.”

Jackson was a “Saturday Night Live” cast member from 1986 to 1992, according to her IMDb page.
