SPRINGFIELD — Johnnie R. McKnight, who unsuccessfully ran for mayor of Springfield in 2015, announced he is a candidate for the 11th Hampden District.
In a statement announcing his candidacy, McKnight leaned on his past educational experience while drawing a distinction between him and incumbent lawmaker Bud Williams on reproductive issues.
