WESTFIELD – Band Director Patrick Kennedy is “thrilled” to announce the first-ever evening Westfield Technical Academy Winter Band Concert on Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. in the WTA auditorium.
Looking back on the beginnings of the program, Kennedy said it first started in 1997 when retired Westfield High School band director Thomas Gannon began playing with a handful of guitar players and drummers and other students who had an interest in music. That was the year Kennedy started as the Westfield High School band director.
