Final $1M lottery ticket in $5 game sold at this Springfield gas station

A winning $1 million lottery ticket was sold at a gas station in Springfield, and the winner came forward to claim their prize on Monday.

The $1 million prize was from “$1,000,000 Stacks of Cash,” a $5 scratch ticket game released in 2024. This was the third and final $1 million prize to be claimed in the game as of April 1.

The winning ticket was sold at an Irving Oil gas station in Springfield.

Additionally, someone claimed a lottery prize worth $200 a week for life from the “$200 A Week For Life” scratch ticket game on Monday. The winning ticket was also sold in Springfield, at a shop called Corners Convenience.

Two $100,000 prizes were also claimed Monday. One of the prizes was from the “Diamond Deluxe” game, and the ticket was sold at West Main Gas in Hyannis. The other was a winning “$100,000 Winning 7s” ticket sold at a Cumberland Farms in Swansea.

Overall, at least 863 prizes worth $600 or more were won or claimed in Massachusetts on Monday, including 24 in Springfield, 28 in Worcester and 88 in Boston.

The Massachusetts State Lottery releases a full list of winning tickets every day. The list only includes winning tickets worth more than $600.

So far, the largest lottery prize won in Massachusetts this yearwas worth $1 million a year for life.

The prize was from the lottery’s “Lifetime Millions” scratch ticket game. The winner claimed their prize through a trust on July 10, and opted to receive a one-time payment of $15.4 million.
