FBI descends on Eastern Mass. home for ‘court-authorized’ activity, agency says

The FBI was searching on home in the Newtonville area of Newton on Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 23, the agency confirmed to MassLive.

An FBI spokesperson said agents were “conducting court-authorized law enforcement activity” as a house on Fairfield Street. The spokesperson said the FBI could not comment further on the operation.

Large white tents were seen outside the house with personnel coming and going around noon, 7News reported. Newton police were also on the scene, according to Boston25.

No other information was immediately available.
