The FBI is asking for the public’s help to identify the person involved in an armed robbery at a Danvers pharmacy in January.
At about 5:17 p.m. on Jan. 8, a man entered the Danvers CVS pharmacy, located at 1 Maple St. He walked behind the counter, pointed a silver pistol at the pharmacist and demanded a variety of drugs from the safe, the FBI said in a statement. After placing the drugs in a black bag, the man exited the store through the back and went towards Conant Street and Berry Street, officials said.
The drugs were prescription narcotics, according to Danvers Police Department.
Nobody was physically harmed during the incident.
Police said a thorough search of the area was conducted with the assistance of the Essex County Sheriff’s Department’s K-9 unit. However, as of Feb. 19, he has still not been arrested or charged.
The FBI asked for the public’s help in identifying him on Tuesday, sharing video and photos from the robbery.
The suspect is a thin, white man. During the robbery he wore a gray hooded sweatshirt with a dark-colored jacket, khaki pants, a black face mask and a black hat, officials said.
