A 27-year-old man who worked as the assistant admissions director at Emmanuel College in Boston pleaded guilty Wednesday to attempting to solicit a girl who applied to the school to have sex with him, federal prosecutors said.
Jacob Tyler Henriques, of Boston, pleaded guilty to one count each of attempted sex trafficking of a minor and cyberstalking, U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts Leah Foley’s office said in a statement. Henriques, who was arrested and charged in May, will be sentenced in March 2026.
Henriques used his position in the admissions office to get access to the personal information of both admitted and prospective students, whom he contacted to try to solicit commercial sex, according to the statement.
On April 25, 2025, Henriques met with multiple admitted or prospective students. After meeting with at least three students, Henriques began contacting them, offering to “pay them for some fun,” according to the statement. Henriques also offered to provide the students with pornography and, in some instances, sent them pornographic videos or images.
Henriques also began contacting a fourth student who had formally committed to attend the college. He offered to pay her for “some fun” and sent pornographic videos to her, according to the statement.
Around the same time, Henriques tried to traffic a 17-year-old girl who was a prospective student after he reviewed a form she filled out to register for a tour, which contained her date of birth. Henriques asked the girl what grade she was in, and she told him where she went to high school, according to the statement.
Within hours of completing a tour of the college, Henriques began texting the girl using the phone number on her form. He offered to pay her $400 for “some fun” and said he had pornographic videos and pictures for her. Henriques continued to contact the girl, refusing to say who he was or how he got her number, according to the statement.
As he continued messaging the girl, he told her “porn” and “$” was ready for her, then sent five pornographic videos and asked if she wanted to participate in a “gangbang” and have sex with him, according to the statement.
The girl rejected his offer multiple times. But Henriques continued to press her, telling her he would buy her anything she wanted. Between April 25 and April 28, Henriques accessed the girl’s profile 47 times, according to the statement.
After she blocked his number, Henriques began soliciting her via email, according to the statement.
Henriques faces a minimum of 10 years and up to life in prison on the attempted sex trafficking charge, and up to five years in prison on the cyberstalking charge.
