‘Everybody loved’ Dante Webb, ‘genuine’ 45-year-old man gunned down in Boston

A 45-year-old man who was shot and killed in Boston last week was loved by many, who are now taking to social media to honor his life and legacy.

“Everybody loved you (including me, bro). You became a brother to me, and you never changed up on me when we got out,” Tory Williams said on Facebook, recalling how he and Dante Webb met while incarcerated. “I regret that I didn’t get to see you, even though we attempted to, on several occasions. That’s why this is painful to write.”

Webb was found shot in the area of 159 Forest Hills St. in Jamaica Plain around 1:39 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18, Boston police reported. The 45-year-old was taken to the hospital, where he later died, police said.

“We don’t get to meet many genuine people in our lifetimes but, I met you, and you were always real to me. Fly high, my brother from another,” Williams continued. “Boston lost one of the realest brothers I ever met.”

“It’s cliché to just post your pic and say ‘R.I.P.’ You deserve more than that,” Bianca Falaise said on Facebook. “I’m in total disbelief. I’m heartbroken. This can’t be true!”

“It was always us my friend for life,” Ella Mclean said on Facebook. “I love you man. This is sad. I’m hurt.”
