SPRINGFIELD – The No. 3 Minnechaug baseball team, fueled by their recent double-digit loss against No. 1 Central, stepped onto the field with a burning determination to turn the tables on Thursday night.
“I came in here knowing we needed to get a win,” Falcons starting pitcher Ethan Purcell said. “We started the season rough but then came into the earlier-week matchup hot. But the Golden Eagles beat us last time, and we wouldn’t let that happen again.”
