WESTFIELD – Following a public hearing, the Planning Board approved a special permit request for an electronic sign at Nextgen Roofing’s new location on 549 Southampton Rd.
Applicant Rene Gauthier of Nextgen Roofing said the digital sign would change messages every 10 seconds. He said the business is moving from Arch Street to the new location, and the messages would be for advertising and special offers.
During the discussion, Planning Board member Philip McEwan said he thought the 10-second interval was “an awful lot” of message changes.
