WESTFIELD – The Westfield Little League Softball 12U All-Stars had an electrifying start to their first District 2 tournament game of 2024 and it wasn’t just due to the lightning that ended the game prematurely.
Westfield starting pitcher Hailey Zanolli tossed a two-hitter, striking out 11 batters and the Whip City’s 12U All-Star softball team shut out East Longmeadow, 9-0, in a D2 tourney opener Thursday night at Sadie Knox Field.
