A driver was seriously hurt and hospitalized following a crash in Walpole Thursday afternoon, the Walpole Police Department said.
Walpole police and firefighters closed down Summer Street to the town line with Norfolk after a report of a serious crash, the police department said in a statement.
Police found a damaged black Toyota SUV in front of a tree by the side of the road, according to photos of the crash shared by police.
The driver was flown to a Boston hospital, police said.
Summer Street was reopened later on Thursday.
The crash remains under investigation.
