EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Drake Maye’s first NFL action was a whirlwind.
The No. 3 overall pick got his first snaps in the final minutes of New England’s 24-3 loss to the Jets, and the 16-play, 46-yard drive delivered a little bit of everything. There was a near interception on Maye’s first play, a first down strike to Pop Douglas, a nifty fourth-down conversion where the young quarterback fled the pocket, and a couple of sacks. Ultimately, the drive ended without points as time expired.
