Decorated Army veteran remembered as ‘always willing to lend a helping hand’

A 73-year-old man who prosecutors say was killed by his son inside their Plymouth home last week was remembered in his obituary as someone who always lent a hand to those in need.

Anthony Paluzzi, of Plymouth, was killed on the morning of Aug. 15, when, prosecutors say, his son Matthew Paluzzi stabbed him in the neck.

In his obituary, Anthony Paluzzi was remembered as a “loving husband, father and grandfather” who enjoyed spending time with his family and particularly his grandchildren. A graduate of Quincy High School and Quincy College, Anthony Paluzzi worked for the city as a carpenter for “many years” until his retirement, the obituary reads.
