WAYNE, MI – Police are investigating after human remains were found in Wayne County.
Fox 2 in Detroit reports a kayaker found the decomposing remains tangled along the embankment of the Lower Rouge River just after 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
Michigan State Police arrived on scene and recovered the remains, which were in two halves — a top half and a bottom half in another portion of the river — near Pershing Street in Wayne, according to the TV station.
The remains were transported to the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office. They hve not been identified.
