The Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office has identified the man and woman who were found dead near their car off Route 115 in Millis Sunday morning.
The district attorney’s office identified the man as 32-year-old Michael Fischella and the woman as 25-year-old Tanaia Wilkinson. The district attorney’s office said that Wilkinson and Fischella both lived at 67 Curve St. in Millis, but did not specify their relationship.
Fischella and Wilkinson appeared to have died as a result of gunshot wounds, and a gun was found below Fischella’s body, the district attorney’s office said previously. Additionally, the district attorney’s office said that Fischella and Wilkinson were originally from outside Massachusetts and had only moved to Millis recently.
District Attorney Michael Morrissey said Sunday afternoon that authorities were still investigating, but that they had no “evidence of third-party involvement.” The Chief Medical Examiner’s Office is expected to determine both Fischella’s and Wilkinson’s manner and cause of death within the next two days.
The bodies were found around 9 a.m. Sunday by a town employee who was working on a remote dirt road off Route 115, the district attorney’s office said previously. Fischella and Wilkinson were originally reported as both being in their 20s due to a miscommunication between officers on scene.
No further information about Fischella and Wilkinson’s deaths has been released.
