WESTFIELD — After a rough season of weather cancelations, ArtWorks Westfield will host a free “make-up” summer concert this Friday, Sept. 1, featuring Cobblestone Road.
This highly acclaimed new country band “with a honkytonk attitude” will play at the Lambson Square stage at 53 Elm St., Westfield. The band was originally scheduled for an earlier Friday and canceled because of rain. The six-piece band will get listeners up and dancing to new and vintage country and country-rock favorites.
The performance space opens at 6 p.m., Nana’s Kitchen and White Lion Brewery open at 6:30 p.m., and the show begins at 7 p.m. Attendees can bring a lawn chair, picnic blanket and their dancing shoes.
This will be the final concert of this year’s summer season. Produced by ArtWorks Westfield, the Downtown Live Friday Night Summer Concert Series is made possible by grants from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the Westfield Cultural Council, as well as sponsorships and donations from Advance Manufacturing Co.; White Lion Brewing Co.; Beyond Builders and Lambson Square; Easthampton Bank; Mina’s Wine & Spirits; Whip City Music; Delaney’s Market Westfield; Greylock Insurance Agency; Wagner Rug and Flooring; Vivid Hair Salon; Sarat Ford Lincoln; Two Rivers Burrito; Myers Information Systems; Maple Leaf Pub; Lisa Oleksak-Sullivan, Realtor; Fleury Lumber Co.; RE/MAX Compass; Lyon, Fitzpatrick LLP; City Café; NetLogic; Dr. Patrick Pepek; John Velis for State Senate; and state Rep.
