A 20-year-old man who is one of two people facing a murder charge in connection with a fatal shooting in Brockton last week was ordered held without bail during his arraignment Tuesday, and prosecutors say they are searching for a third, as-yet-unidentified person who was at the scene of the shooting.
Marcus Miranda and Govanni Carapinha each face a charge of murder and a number of firearms charges in connection with a late-night shooting on Vesey Street in Brockton on July 24. The shooting left Romualdy Pierre-Charles, 22, dead. Pierre-Charles lived at the Vesey Street address where the shooting took place, Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz said in a statement posted to X.
Carapinha has yet to be arraigned because he was wounded during the shooting and is receiving medical treatment at Boston Medical Center, according to Cruz’s office.
