City goes to court to force Vibra to secure and maintain State Street property

SPRINGFIELD — The city of Springfield has gone to court to force the owners of the former Vibra Hospital property on State Street to secure the building and maintain the property as the two try to finalize a purchase and sale agreement, but so far, the Pennsylvania health care corporation has dragged its heels.

Springfield Mayor Domenic J. Sarno held a press conference at the 1400 State St. site Friday afternoon to call attention to Vibra’s lack of cooperation, at least up until Friday morning.
