Chicopee man arraigned Friday in connection to shooting outside of Holyoke City Hall

HOLYOKE — A Chicopee man was arraigned at Holyoke District Court on Friday in connection with a shootout that occurred outside of Holyoke City Hall on Thursday afternoon.

One of the alleged shooters, Hector Rivera of Chicopee, pleaded not guilty to 16 counts, 10 of which are felonies. These include Class A and B drug possession with intent to distribute, felony firearm possession, possession of a large capacity firearm, improper storage, firearm violation after a previous violent drug crime, and subsequent offenses of possessing a weapon and ammunition without an FID card, according to a Holyoke District Court clerk.
