On Monday, April 8, 2024, the moon will completely block the sun along a track intersecting the United States from Texas to northwest Vermont, bringing the path of totality closer to southern New England than anytime since 1963.
In practical terms, we here in Western Massachusetts can experience 31/2 minutes in the moon’s shadow for the low, low price of a day’s round-trip drive. It’s the total solar eclipse we’ve been waiting for.
