“It’s special. It’s something I strive to do. I expect. But it’s nothing I take for granted,” said Tatum, who scored 23 points in the C’s 126-110 victory. “It’s an honor to be on first team all-NBA. There’s so many talented guys in this league. The talent just gets better and better each and every year. So, I’m very fortunate to make that team again.”

Tatum, a five-time All-Star who finished sixth in MVP voting, averaged 26.9 points, 8.1 rebounds and a career-best 4.9 assists per game while shooting 47.1 percent from the floor and 37.6 percent on 3-pointers. It marked Tatum’s fourth All-NBA team, including a third-team selection in 2019-20.

“I’m thankful to everybody that’s helped me along the way,” said Tatum, who received 65 first-place votes and 34 second-place votes, giving him 427 points, which was the fifth-highest total. “Success is not something you can achieve by yourself. There’s a lot of people that deserve credit in helping me get to where I’m at.”
