Celtics overcome historically bad shooting night in Kings win

Sam Hauser has been a reliable shooter all year long for the Celtics but that consistency came to a crashing halt on Friday night. The sharpshooter misfired on 17 of his 18 shot attempts in Boston’s 101-100 win. Hauser went 1-of-13 from 3-point range in the victory, a crucial factor in Boston’s woeful shooting performance from beyond the arc (27.3 percent).

It was the worst shooting performance by a Celtic player since Jayson Tatum also went 1-of-18 from the field back in November 2019 against the Mavericks. Only one other Celtic had a worst shooting performance since 1954 according to ESPN Stats and Info. Like Tatum, Hauser ended up on the winning team despite the dreadful outing, which was the second-worst shooting performance by any player in a win since 1954.
