Celtics injury report features 2 starters for Raptors game

The Celtics are not only trying to get back on track, but they’re also looking to get fully healthy heading into 2025. Kristaps Porzingis (left ankle sprain) and Jrue Holiday (right shoulder impingement) continue to be listed on the injury report after sitting the past few games.

Both players are listed as questionable for the 3 p.m. Tuesday game at TD Garden against the Raptors on New Year’s Eve. The C’s will look to shake off their Sunday loss to the Pacers which featured a defensive dud. Boston has lost four of its last six games in its first real signs of struggle this season.

Porzingis has missed the last two games due to the ankle sprain he suffered against the 76ers on Christmas Day. The severity of the injury is unclear as he’s been questionable ahead of the last two games before ultimately being downgraded to out.

Holiday has sat the last three games because of the right shoulder issue. Similar to Porzingis, he’s been listed as questionable on the past few injury reports before getting downgraded to out. Holiday’s return to the court is also unclear at this point.

If the Celtics are down two starters again, expect the depth players to get some additional playing time. Jordan Walsh has impressed in rotation minutes recently as the second-year pro continues to develop behind the scenes.

The Raptors come into the game at 7-25, 14th in the East, as they’ve struggled this season. The New Year’s Eve clash is a good chance for the Celtics to get-right ahead of what will be a tough schedule throughout January.
