SALT LAKE CITY — While Derrick White has had an impressive overall 3-point shooting season, he had gone cold in his recent games. White shot just 1-for-14 from 3 in his past four games heading into Tuesday’s game against the Jazz.
But ahead of that game, White had a feeling he was going to bounce back. So that’s why he texted his dad, Richard, that he was going to have a big shooting night. And that’s exactly what happened as White finished 7-for-11 from beyond the arc while scoring 24 points in the C’s win over the Jazz.
