Cannabis retailer says Southwick should have let it fill gaps in application

SOUTHWICK — After the owner of Holyoke Cannabis received a letter from Select Board member Diane Gale this week explaining why his application for one of two retail cannabis permits was removed from consideration, a representative for the business responded in a document provided to The Westfield News.

“… The missing information is on me,” wrote Lisa Barlick, the general manager of Holyoke Cannabis, which is owned by Southwick resident James Jaron.

Its application was to open a cannabis retail store called the Southwick Dispensary in the former Roma Restaurant on College Highway. The omissions to which Barlick was referring were detailed in the letter Gale sent to Barlick and Jaron this week.
