Now a sophomore at Touro University, a Jewish university in Times Square where his classes are mostly online, Nasar had dreams of transferring to be an in-person student at New York University. But as an Orthodox Jew witnessing ongoing protests and encampments related to the Israel-Hamas war, he decided against applying.
